Amoruso Torn Between Fiorentina And Rangers

Lorenzo will be a man with a divided heart when Rangers take on Fiorentina in the UEFA Cup semi-finals. After winning three SPL titles with Rangers at Ibrox, and the 2002 SPFA Players' Player of the Year award during a six year span he is part of Glasgow but Fiorentina also hold a very special place in his heart, as they were his first professional club.

"For me it will be very difficult to support Fiorentina or Rangers in these games. Both teams have been very important in my life and even if I'm Italian and the Viola were my first team in Italy, and the first where I won my first title, I spent six good years at Rangers. For that reason I will not take sides and be in the middle, hoping that the best team goes through to the final," he added, before giving a quick analysis on the respective teams. The two teams are very similar. Fiorentina have the quality of Adrian Mutu but their main strength is the collective game. Rangers have good players like Barry Ferguson and Kris Boyd, but above all it is the unity that works well for them and gives them the edge. I don't know who will progress but I do know I am going to watch a fantastic couple of games."

It's a shame, but living in Glasgow, I think he should support Rangers, but I suppose that's easy for me to say LOL.

All I know is that he will be at the match and usually when Rangers play in Italy he gets interviewed on TV so I will be able to see him again......I can't wait!
