Though there may have been more high-profile transfers during the January window, in San Marino at least nothing comes close to matching former ACF Fiorentina and Rangers FC defender Lorenzo Amoruso's decision to join S.S. Cosmos.Even though two goals from Mohammed Zaboul earned reigning champions S.S. Murata victory against S.S. Cosmos in the Sammarinese Campionato, but his achievements were overshadowed by the battle between Massimo Agostini and Lorenzo Amoruso.
It was Agostini, Murata's 44-year-old player-coach who came out on top, yet the sight of new Cosmos signing Amoruso has made waves in San Marino, and he is relishing the challenge.
"We lost against Murata but we played well and I think we deserved at least a point,"
the 36-year-old told uefa.com.
"I have found a nice environment here, with a good team, good players and a very organised club. In San Marino you can play football without the pressure there is in other places: Here, passion for the game is key."
Oh how I wish I could go and watch him play....Just think of those legs Mmmmm
